Perfectly situated in the center of Bilbao, a VERY short walk from shopping, restaurants, the river and the old city. Very clean hotel with helpful staff, beautiful lobby, a bar with a comfortable area to sit, relax, watch a football ⚽️ match. Michelin restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Our room was large, clean, with a very comfortable bed, ample sized toilet with a warm, comfortable shower. Where this place REALLY pleased us is we arrived at 9 am ... very tired and in need of organizing our luggage ... fully expecting to leave our belongings in the luggage room until our room was ready in the afternoon. AMAZINGLY, she found an available room for us which was a VERY pleasant surprise and MOST appreciated. We were able to rest, clean up and organize our clothes and toiletries.

It’s clean and modern and in a really great location. We’ve stayed here several times now and so it has become familiar and easy. It is comfortable all round and the staff are very helpful. Lots of good cafés, bars and restaurants plus a very buzzy pedestrian street a short walk away.

Room was a decent size, cleaned daily and plenty of complementary toiletries. Location was close to the River and a 10/15 minute walk to the heart of the old town (7 calles) and the same to the guggenheim. Breakfast was also good, lots of fresh fruit constantly replenished, too. You can also request a freshly made omelette or scrambled eggs but we didn't see the little signs explaining that until near the end of our stay unfortunately.

The hotel is located in The central area of Bilbao. It is super convenient for any kind of activity. It is about 1.1 km from the Guggenheim Museum, amazing restaurants, great bars, the most wonderful bakeries. It is super easy to access the bus and the metro, and the train station is very close to here. Aside from the excellent location, the front desk and housekeeping staff are amazing and very knowledgeable. I’m coming back next year.

+great breakfast (spanish omelete, churros with chocolate, fresh bakery, fruits) +center located +good room layout +coffee and tea machine available + fast access to airport by car (only 13minutes) + nearby restaurants for dinner

Rooms are good. Decent size and comfortable. Bathroom and shower all good. Underground parking is very handy and not as ridiculously tight and difficult to manoeuvre in as many others. Good location for the old town and not too far from Guggenheim museum

The room with 2 singles was spacious very clean and light. Both rooms were very clean. Kettle in room was appreciated. Staff at reception were helpful. Didn't have breakfast due to our timings. Good map provided when checked in.

We highly recommend Hotel Abando, This hotel in the New town, unbelievable great location, easy walk to all famous places, shopping and restaurants. When you walk out the hotel, turn left you got all sorts of stores, cafes and restaurants, the staff are friendly and provide excellent services, good size room, great shower and excellent quality of toiletries. Bilbao is a perfect town to stroll around, full of beautiful architecture historic buildings, we would love to come back and stay in the Hotel Abando again.
